Transcription

Last year I got a panic call from someone working for the Urdd – they needed some songs transcribed by the next day, naturally, I worked all night! I enjoy the challenge of listening to a song recorded by a whole band and reducing it to a single piano part, or chords for guitar. Or conversely taking a tune and building an arrangement for it.

Once I have produced a score or manuscript it is very quick and easy to separate the parts and print them individually or to change the key of any or all of the parts.

I can supply hard copy or image files that you can print off yourself as often as you like

My basic rate is £100 per day. How long a job can take is very variable depending on the complexity of the music – Y Delyn Newedd pictured here only took me just over an hour so I could produce something similar for £20.
